The state’s only special focus STEM university will offer more than 75 sections of classes this summer, and approximately 750 in the fall.

Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation establishes scholarship at Highlands College

The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, in conjunction with Montana Resources, has donated $120,000 to the Montana Tech Foundation to fund scholarships that will cover the cost of tuition and fees at Highlands College for high school graduates from Butte over the next four years.

Section of Park Street to be closed, detour put in place for summer

A section of Park Street will be closed and detours will be in place Monday, May 6, 2024 through early August 2024 to allow for construction on the Montana Technological University campus.

Montana Tech students design stormwater system to improve motel parking lot

A team of students from Montana Technological University have designed a stormwater system for the parking lot and grassy area upgradient of the Motel 6 in Butte that will incorporate native plants, and improve the infrastructure’s resilience to climate change.

A new solar demonstration project has been installed on the Montana Tech campus through the collaboration of students in Dr. Robin Bullock’s senior design course and a metals fabrication class at Highlands College.

The Tech Vision Student Aid Fund helps recruit new Orediggers and provide funds to take care of our current students. Our goal is to raise $160,000 annually to impact 50-75 students and right now gifts to Tech Vision are being matched 1:1 up to $80,000.
